Biking:  Around the Village is fine, but please do not plan on biking on Route 28 unless you are very experienced (and well-insured). There are no Bike Lanes on Route 28, traffic is heavy and the speed limit is 55. 

There is a bike rack and "fix-it" station at Pioneer Park at the corner of Main and Pioneer Sts. (By the flagpole)

Airports: Albany is the closest.  Often cheaper to fly into NYC, but it can be a 4-5 hour drive to Cooperstown.
