On many streets parking is limited to two hours and the time limit is STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Parking for vehicles over 20 feet in length is prohibited on Village streets.

Look for a "Pay and Display" machine. There are no parking meters.

You will need coins or a credit card.

After you pay, follow the instructions on the machine.

Handicapped Parking is very limited. Throughout the year, there is no fee to park in a handicap spot. Some spots have time limits. If you will be visiting the Hall of Fame, call them to see about a handicap parking permit. (888.425.5633)

RV Parking

Parking for vehicles over 20 feet in length is not available on any Village road.

The Village has not posted what they are doing with RV parking.  Please call the Village Clerk for up to date information.     607-547-2411.

My suggestion is to park in the Yellow Lot or the Blue Lot and ride the trolley. These lots are 1 mile from the Hall of Fame. Do not try to park in the Red Lot.

When the trolley is not running you can walk to the Village or you will need to call a cab.  Arrange the cab in advance as there are no on-call cabs in the Village.  Taxis come from Oneonta which is half an hour away.

Uber and Lyft have started to run in our area.

From the Village website:

"For those walking, the Red lot is 6/10 mile and the Blue lot is approximately one mile from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. There are not continuous sidewalks from the Yellow lot to downtown Cooperstown.

For those who must park more centrally for an extended period of time, a Village-owned parking lot adjacent to Doubleday Field can be accessed from both Chestnut Street and Main Street. This lot is a paid lot daily from 9 AM to 6 PM, Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day. Parking in this lot costs $2.00 per hour with a maximum fee of $14.00 per day. Tickets can be purchased at either entrance as early as 7 AM. Tickets purchased before 9 AM are time stamped to begin at 9 AM.

For those who only need to park for a short period, on-street parking is available in the downtown area. On Main Street from Pine Boulevard to River Street and on Pioneer Street from Church Street north to the end of the business district parking is paid from 9 AM to 6 PM, Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. The fee is $2.00 per hour and there is a 2-hour time limit. Pay and Display machines are conveniently located throughout the downtown area to pay for on-street parking during the summer season.

Visitors during the off-season should seek parking in the Doubleday Field parking lot or for short periods of less than 2 hours in on-street parking places. The trolleys serving the perimeter lots run weekends, 9 AM – 5 PM, from Memorial Day weekend through mid-June; and daily, 8:30 AM – 9 PM, from mid-June through Labor Day."

If you have questions or comments about parking or the trolley system, please contact the Village offices at (607) 547-2411 during regular business hours.
